Phoenix Fitness :

How did you start off your fitness journey?

Jordan:

I had an eating disorder for years that I wanted to gain control of by learning about diet and nutrition, and healthy exercise. I was incredibly underweight (around 40kg) when I started and my mission was to build muscle.

Phoenix Fitness :

Did you invest in fitness equipment?

Jordan:

I was 18 years old when I got started. I began eating better, and started doing home workouts with zuzka light before joining a gym with the focus of building muscle and being healthy.

Phoenix Fitness

Have you ever tried working out at home and how did this work out for you?

Jordan:

I love home workouts and have always advocated them! Sometimes it isn’t easy to find time to go to the gym, and home workouts are a great way to workout for those with hectic day lives. Weight lifting is always going to yield the best long term results though, so it’s great to do both if you can!

Phoenix Fitness :

Did you consider a personal trainer or workout plan?

Jordan:

I worked with a coach before, but I had such a passion for fitness that I became a personal trainer and found that I was the best coach for myself. Online plans are what I specialise in and I’ve always loved trying new plans from other trainers just to learn new things and try something different.

Phoenix Fitness :

Did you create clear and trackable goals?

Jordan:

Yes! It’s important to have smart goals. You need to set short term and long term goals. Short term goal keep you motivated on the journey to reaching those huge milestones!

Phoenix Fitness :

Was Transformation ever tracked during your fitness journey, if so why do you think this is important?

Jordan:

Yes, I always take photos throughout my journey. Sometimes it's difficult to notice the changes because you see yourself every day. Photo comparisons are very telling!

Phoenix Fitness :

Did you ever leave focus to your fitness journey, if so what motivated you to get back on track?

Jordan:

I’ve never really taken a significant break on my journey apart from when I had surgery. It became a habit and a way of life. Habit is what keeps you going!

Phoenix Fitness :

Which exercises do you find work best for you to achieve your overall goals?

Jordan:

It’s difficult to choose one but if I had to narrow it down I would stick to basic compound movements: squats, deadlifts, military press, pull ups.

Phoenix Fitness :

Are you happy with that you have achieved or are you wanting to do better? if so what are your next goals?

Jordan:

I’m always looking to achieve more! In the past two years i’ve competed in figure competitions and won, i’ve also competed and placed in strong woman competitions. Now i’m very focused on my online coaching and growing my Fit Club!

Phoenix Fitness :

Do you have any top tips to give to beginners who are starting off their fitness journey based on your experience?

Jordan:

Always believe in your goals. The biggest setback on your journey will be in your own mindset. Believe in yourself and you will reach your goals!
