New David

Phoenix Fitness have kicked off 2019 with an inspirational campaign to aid those who have an interest in fitness but have not yet had the urge to get themselves going. 

We have gathered some of the Phoenix FitnessFam together to capture their first hand experiences to help you start your journey!  It's a new year and there can be a new you!  So get inspired and see the change you can make!

Phoenix Fitness :

How did you start off your fitness journey?

David:

I used to train regularly purely to stay fit as I was playing football (soccer) at semi pro level. Once i stopped that, I found my love for bodybuilding and fitness.

Phoenix Fitness :

At what stage in your life where you encouraged to get into fitness?

David:

An early age, mainly at school when I was playing for several of the sports teams. 

Phoenix Fitness :

Did you invest in fitness equipment?

David:

Always, who doesn’t love a home workout right? my favourite was always my Pull Up Bar!

Phoenix Fitness 

Have you ever tried working out at home and how did this work out for you?

David:

Very regularly, really useful when you have a busy day or just wanna get a quick pump before you head into town with friends 😉

Phoenix Fitness :

Did you consider a personal trainer or workout plan?

David:

I sort help from a variety of fitness professionals, from coaches to PT's to Models... everyone has different angles and views and all can be just as beneficial in their own way.

Phoenix Fitness :

Did you create clear and trackable goals?

David:

I did, very important to keep track of progress and maintain a vision of what you want to achieve.

Phoenix Fitness :

Was Transformation ever tracked during your fitness journey, if so why do you think this is important?

David:

Yeah, again to see how far you have come. Its you vs you, the competition is right there in that mirror so... why not take a snap!

Phoenix Fitness :

Did you ever leave focus to your fitness journey, if so what motivated you to get back on track?

David:

Never. Fitness has always been a staple in my life and forever will be, it's the best addiction a person can have.

Phoenix Fitness :

Which exercises do you find work best for you to achieve your overall goals? 

David:

All of them. it’s impossible to pick one when you love training every muscle group just as much as the other. Never neglect any area, even the weakest ones.

Phoenix Fitness :

Are you happy with that you have achieved or are you wanting to do better? if so what are your next goals?

David:

Always happy, never completely satisfied. I always want to improve, so i will continue to work hard and hopefully compete in another bodybuilding show next year.

Phoenix Fitness :

Do you have any top tips to give to beginners who are starting off their fitness journey based on your experience? 

David:

Be patient. it will not happen overnight. it's a slow process but a rewarding one. Persevere and you will go very, very far.
