Phoenix Fitness:

Overall as an individual do you consider yourself to be motivated when carrying out a task?

Peter:

I feel motivated with the result I am already seeing and the progress I am already making and therefore I want to reach for new levels every day.

Phoenix Fitness:

What do you require from yourself when working out?

Peter:

I require my full energy to get the best out of my session. Therefore I prepare myself before each session with a workout routine and meals.

Phoenix Fitness:

what’s it worth to you to achieve a healthier, fitter, happier life?

Peter:

Being healthy helps to enjoy life better and being fitter helps with confidence in myself.

Phoenix Fitness:

How do you find motivation to exercise on a daily basis?

Peter:

I watch workout videos and educate myself from people who have the understanding of my goals. I also record myself and make notes to track my progress in order to perform better and improve in each session.

Phoenix Fitness:

Have you ever lost focus from your routine? if so, how did you get back on track?

Peter:

I was injured and could not train for 5 months. The longer you spend away from fitness, the less your body wants to get back into it. I got back into training with the help of friends who have good knowledge and are able to motivate me. I also had progress photos to compare and to challenge me back to a better shape.

Phoenix Fitness:

What motivates you push yourself?

Peter:

I am motivated to push myself because I enjoy physical challenges and I enjoy seeing results. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with others to motivate them that they can also do it.

Phoenix Fitness:

How do you make up for a missed workout?

Peter:

I usually do a slow rehab process to get back into training, a lot of stretching, body weight exercises and some cardio. Then I slowly start with the weights and build up from there with some full body workout routine.

Phoenix Fitness:

How does missing a workout effect your goals?

Peter:

Missing a workout that wasn't planned for a rest day affect my goal because it sets me back by a day. I try to watch my diet a bit more to make up for it.

Phoenix Fitness:

Have you ever lacked motivation during your fitness journey? if so, how did this effect you?

Peter:

I have never really lacked motivation although there are days when the body doesn't feel like training but I find out that the moment I step into the working out environment, I gain my motivation back.

Phoenix Fitness:

Do you have any motivation tips, quotes or stories to give to beginners who are starting off their fitness journey based on your experience?

Peter:

Have a goal to work towards and stick to the plan and structure that are in place to achieve that Goal. You don't need to jump around doing what others are doing as they train differently to you because their goals are different.

  • Speak to people with more knowledge and experience.
  • Train with people who are motivated so that you can encourage each other.
  • Watch videos on YouTube or Instagram on ways to improve on an exercise or get the best out of your plan.
  • Prepare your session and meals ahead.
