Phoenix Fitness:

Overall as an individual do you consider yourself to be motivated when carrying out a task?

Finn:
It depends on the task! If I feel it is going to be beneficial to me and I will feel a sense of accomplishment once completed then yes I am very motivated! Even something as simply as cleaning or organising my diary I always feel a sense of accomplishment for doing so afterwards and that’s what motivated me!

Phoenix Fitness:

What do you require from yourself when working out?

Finn:

100% effort. Simple as that, I can only give as much as I’ve got. This relates to focus, intensity, and form! I always aim to progress each session/week and that requires 100% effort every time to execute the programme!

Phoenix Fitness:

What’s it worth to you to achieve a healthier, fitter, happier life?

Finn:

For me it’s massively important. What’s the most valuable, amazing, technical thing you own? Your body. So of course it’s massively important to look after it! Sure a Ferrari is cool but for me my physical and mental health will be more important than anything you can buy.

Phoenix Fitness:

How do you find motivation to exercise on a daily basis?

Finn:

I love it! I don’t really search for motivation, but when I need it, I look back on how far I’ve come. The motivation is in the results! Once you start to see those results you don’t need any other motivation! It’s like in business if you start to progress and increase your income, you

wouldn’t need any other motivation to carry on as you can see the benefits! It’s the same concept for me and my body.

Phoenix Fitness:

Have you ever lost focus from your routine? if so, how did you get back on track?

Finn:

I don’t lose focus from my routine, it’s my routine for a reason, I stick to it for a purpose. Everything has a purpose towards results.

Phoenix Fitness:

What motivates you push yourself?

Finn:

Constantly striving to better myself everyday. Mentally and physically.

Phoenix Fitness:

How do you make up for a missed workout?

Finn:

I don’t miss workouts. I know I sound extremely pretentious/arrogant but I don’t miss them. I plan in rest days, that’s when I get my day off. Other than that, my training takes priority so I don’t miss it.

Phoenix Fitness:

How does missing a workout effect your goals?

Finn:

I guess if I were to miss a workout it wouldn’t be the end of the world but it would unsettle me and my routine. One workout here and there over the course of say a year isn’t going to make a huge effect. Missing one every week on the other hand is going to have an effect.

Phoenix Fitness:

Have you ever lacked motivation during your fitness journey? if so, how did this effect you?

Finn:

Again not really, I love training as it’s my time to switch off from everything else. I don’t lose motivation for it as it’s what I enjoy! It’s kinda like asking someone who loves playing video games if they ever lose motivation to do it? I’m sure most would say no.

Phoenix Fitness:

Do you have any motivation tips, quotes or stories to give to beginners who are starting off their fitness journey based on your experience?

Finn:

I would just say take other people as an example of what you can achieve if you want it. So many people have made amazing changes and transformations since getting into fitness, why are you any different?! Be patient and be consistent, the results will come!
