Bekah's dose of motivation

DAY 10

"YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CREATE CHANGE"

Check out @healthyalldaylong to see how Bekah keeps motivated and to get an insight to what workouts you can do to achieve results.

Phoenix Fitness:

Overall as an individual do you consider yourself to be motivated when carrying out a task?

Bekah:

Yes I would.

Phoenix Fitness:

What do you require from yourself when working out?

Bekah:

My workout time is my me time. I don't let anything interrupt that. I don't go on my phone, on social media or anything, I want to be focused and fully dedicate that time to me.

Phoenix Fitness:

What’s it worth to you to achieve a healthier, fitter, happier life?

Bekah:

Personally I struggle with depression, so I've found that keeping consistent with a healthy and active lifestyle is what keeps me out of those low moments. It is so important to me for my mental health.

Phoenix Fitness:

How do you find motivation to exercise on a daily basis?

Bekah:

I have a team of incredible women who motivated me to show up every day. As their coach I feel I NEED to show up, because if I don't, what's stopping them from quitting too?

Phoenix Fitness:

Have you ever lost focus from your routine? if so, how did you get back on track?

Bekah:

Yes, so many times in the past! I would go in and out of phases of a routine and really see no progress at all. The last time I got back on track was last summer and I've not given up since then and don't see myself doing so anytime soon! I joined a community of women on the same journey as me and we all hold each other accountable.

Phoenix Fitness:

What motivates you push yourself?

Bekah:

On days I'm feeling a little tired, pre workout really helps me get in the groove and a good motivational playlist!

Phoenix Fitness:

How do you make up for a missed workout?

Bekah:

I would say not making myself feel guilty and just moving on and picking up where I left off.

Phoenix Fitness:

How does missing a workout effect your goals?

Bekah:

Recently I had to rest for a few days due to injury and it really threw me off because I was in such a groove with my routine. I just made sure to pay particular attention to my nutrition on those days and let my body rest before diving back in. There's no point in focusing on the negatives of missing workouts, it's not going to help you!

Phoenix Fitness:

Have you ever lacked motivation during your fitness journey? if so, how did this effect you?

Bekah:

For sure! Motivation only lasts so long, and I would often quit when I ran out of it. I've found that it's dedication and commitment that will see you through. No one is motivated every single day, you've got to find your 'why' for working out and stick to it no matter what.

Phoenix Fitness:

Do you have any motivation tips, quotes or stories to give to beginners who are starting off their fitness journey based on your experience?

Bekah:

I would make sure you have connected to why you are doing it. Sure you may want to get a nice physique, but you've got to think about the reason that's going to keep you going when you want to quit. Why do you want that nice physique? What is going to get you through the mornings when it's cold outside and you just want to stay in bed? Really connect to 'WHY' you want to workout and you'll be golden!
