Ariana daily dose of motivation

DAY 13
THE SWEAT. THE TIME. THE DEVOTION ALL PAYS OFF.

 Phoenix Fitness:

Overall as an individual do you consider yourself to be motivated when carrying out a task?

Ariana:

Yes I am motivated at doing the things I am passionate about doing. Motivation is defined as the general desire or willingness of someone to do something. Once you determine that motivation is more about your mindset and whether you truly have the desire to be successful at what you do that is when you will feel motivated to carry out any task.

Phoenix Fitness:

What do you require from yourself when working out?

Ariana:

1 thing that I require is focus. I have to be focused on completing all of my workouts and doing so correctly and without injury. I also don't schedule things around my workout so that I have ample time to complete it without any distractions.

Phoenix Fitness:

What’s it worth to you to achieve a healthier, fitter, happier life?

Ariana:

Living a happy, healthy and fit life for me is everything. I decided to commit to making this a lifestyle change the day that I no longer wanted to see the overweight girl with no confidence and no drive to do what others had currently thought her life was created for. I decided that day that my health and my fitness was going to be the thing that I finally did for myself and it would be something that once I achieved my goals, no one could take away for me. I owe my entire life to this journey.

Phoenix Fitness:

How do you find motivation to exercise on a daily basis?

Ariana:

My daily motivation comes from accountability. I have been working with women for over 4 years now and it is them that hold me accountable to keep reaching towards my goals because it gives them hope that one day they can achieve their goals as well.

Phoenix Fitness:

Have you ever lost focus from your routine? if so, how did you get back on track?

Ariana:

Yes, when I lose focus it is directly related to being stressed over something due to me not having clarity on what exactly I desire to do. What gets me back on track is sticking to a plan and finishing it until the end and then I reach my goal, set a new goal, an do it all over again. I also remember the 22 year old me that lost herself and didn't know where to start. The only thing I had was fitness and a will to succeed and I do not ever want to go back to the dark place that I was once in ever again.

Phoenix Fitness:

What motivates you push yourself?

Ariana:

Myself, accountability and my support system

 Phoenix Fitness:

How do you make up for a missed workout?

Ariana:

If I miss a workout, I will either use it as my rest day and make it up again later in the week or start with the next workout in the sequence the next day. I do not beat myself up about it but I go 10x harder the next time I am in the gym.

Phoenix Fitness:

How does missing a workout effect your goals?

Ariana:

Missing one workout does not effect your goals unless you let it. It is really about the way that you direct your thoughts. So if you first have goals so strong that you write them down and don't want to disappoint yourself then you won't miss the workout, but if for some reason you, the next day go 10x harder and vow to not disappoint yourself again.

Phoenix Fitness:

Have you ever lacked motivation during your fitness journey? if so, how did this effect you?

Ariana:

Yes, about 1 year about I was severely depressed about where I was in my life. I had a great job that I was miserable at. I had a great relationship that I wasn't ready for and I had a business but didn't know what to do with it or how to make it grow. So I ended up going to therapy to talk about all of the things that were going through my mind and I recommitted to my fitness journey by doing an intense 80 day program. 6 workouts a week for 1 hour each day. It was the hardest program I had put my body through to date but each day I gave it all that I had and within those 80 days I had lost 18 pounds and 20 inches and I felt like myself again.
